About Lyricon:

Lyricon ("Bayly") is a 2001 Holsteiner gelding owned by Betsy Bobenhouse of Lincoln, Nebraska. Betsy has ridden dressage for 20 years. She worked with Rikki Haberlan (Rikki now lives in Palm Desert and trains with Shannon Peters—Steffen's wife) for a number of years. When Rikki left Lincoln, Betsy began to train with Dara Liss of Falkland Stables with the second of three quarter horses she owned before she purchased Bayly. She started to work with Jennifer Mosier in the fall of 2004.

Bayly was foaled in Omaha, Nebraska, by breeder Blair Cudmore. With Mosier acting as agent and advisor, Betsy purchased Bayly in 2005 as an unbroke four-year-old. His enormous movement and lovely gaits made him a very exciting young horse to start.

Bayly spent some time at Konza Prairie in February 2006 to begin his training according to Mosier's fundamentals. Bayly has now been under saddle with Betsy for two years and is showing great development as a talented dressage horse. His enormous athleticism and elasticity will be quite a gift in the upper levels.
