About Gershwin:

Gershwin is owned by Sharon O'Brien of Omaha, Nebraska. He is a 2003 Oldenburg/Thoroughbred gelding by Galeno Tyme. Gershwin's dam, Shades of Genius, was the product of a $100,000 stud fee from the stallion Flying Taps.

Sharon O'Brien bought Gershwin in July 2006 from Konza Prairie Dressage. He stayed at the farm until broke, and then moved to American Legacy (Omaha, Nebraska) in November 2006 in where Sharon could begin training him herself, with the guidance of Jennifer Mosier during clinics. He moved to Prairie Lane Stables in July 2007, where he still resides with his sister, Giselle.

This extraordinary young gelding promises to live up to the stellar movement he inherited from his sire. He has begun under saddle work (with Sharon) this year at five years old, and is proving to be as rideable and trainable as Galeno Tyme. He is smart, kind, eager, and honest, with an uncanny ability to absorb the work and progress at light speed. He is sure to climb the levels in no time, and we are looking forward to his career.
