About Callisto:

Callisto is a 2000 Oldenburg mare owned by Jane Fucinaro of Omaha, Nebraska. Callisto was five years old when the Fucinaros purchased her from Konza Prairie in October of 2005. Callisto's old-fashioned type (a product of Geranda and Hannoverian stallion Cooperit, son of the famous Holsteiner, Contender) appealed to Jane and her family, who have worked with Morgans for many years. Her compact strength and dynamic gaits made her a great choice for Jane to begin working toward her goals of international competition.

Jane began riding at a very young age, due to her mom's deep love for horses. She grew up riding her pony and Morgan horses in several disciplines. With the help of Sally Queal (The Riding Center, Omaha, Nebraska), she began to compete and discovered her love for dressage in particular. She began working with Jennifer Mosier in 1998, and has been training with her ever since.

Jane and Callisto work with Mosier at monthly clinics in Lincoln, with additional help from Dara Liss at Falkland Stables. They are schooling toward Grand Prix, and hope to eventually compete at the North American Young Rider Championships. Jane plans to breed Callisto after her competition career, and in the future she would like to own and manage her own training barn according to the fundamentals of Konza Prairie's training program.

Jane will be be a freshman this year at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, studying Equine Science. Callisto will be relocating to Lincoln with her to board at Falkland Stables, where they look forward to working with Dara Liss full-time.
